We are pleased to collaborate with a highly regarded secondary school in Lambeth known for its commitment to providing a wellrounded education and fostering a supportive learning environment. They are seeking a dedicated and inspiring Humanities Teacher to join their faculty in a fulltime permanent capacity starting immediately.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the schools thriving Humanities department and inspire students to explore the rich tapestry of human history societies and cultures. The role entails:
- Designing and delivering engaging Humanities lessons (encompassing subjects such as History Geography RE and potentially others) aligned with the national curriculum and the schools educational ethos.
- Fostering a passion for the Humanities in students encouraging critical thinking inquiry and a global perspective.
- Assessing student progress providing constructive feedback and implementing personalized learning strategies to maximize individual potential.
- Collaborating with colleagues within the department and wider school community to develop and enhance the Humanities curriculum and extracurricular activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree or higher in a Humanitiesrelated field (e.g. History Geography Religious Studies).
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
- Proven experience teaching Humanities subjects at the secondary level.
Ideal Candidate:
- Passionate about the Humanities and their relevance to the modern world with a strong commitment to student success.
- Possesses excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently demonstrating initiative and adaptability.
