Sr SQL Server DBA

We are looking for Sr. SQL Server DBA with strong Development skills.

Essential duties and Responsibilities

• Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Responsible for designing developing and optimizing complex SQL queries stored procedures and database systems.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL including complex joins subqueries indexing strategies and partitioning.
• Extensive experience analyzing query performance both at the workload and indvidual query level with the ability to identify process server database and schema object tuning necessary to improve the throughput.
• Provides agencys current and future requirements related to enterprise Data Architecture Data Modeling and Data Integrity.
• Having deep understading of SQL development database architecture and performance tuning.
• Administering databases running on SQL Server clusters SQL Always On platforms on the latest versions including SQL& 2022
• Experience with Data modeling SQL scripting and Powershell
• Experience in DB Provisioning Migrations Monitoring and Performance tuning
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices related to data security and privacy.
• Ensure that the databases and server are running effectively.
• Perform daily data fixes and refreshes Manage and complete adhoc database requests.
• Refresh the Lower Environment and keep the data clean.
• Implement and manage database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Perform data scrambling in accordance with all relevant policies and procedures.
• Specific SQL Maintenance tools/applications are a plus(such as Idera monitoring tools)
• Participate in crosshierarchal teams and contribute to improving services across agency lines.
• Effectively work with all levels of management and staff to improve processes and procedures.
• Experience in Disaster and Recovery (DR) strategies testing and implementation
• Experience working in and administering a medium or largescale Windows Linux and Sun Solaris based computing environments.
• Resolves data conflicts for matters such as naming conventions data privacy and data ownership.
• Maintains knowledge of trends developments and best practices in DBMS and related technology
• Administer enterprise monitoring of server performance availability security and capacity issues
• Perform periodic exercises to validate backup and recovery procedures.
• Perform maintenance monitoring and tuning of core databases.
• Provide support in database design and application development.
• Administer and monitor database security.
• Implement and maintain DBA policies procedures/manuals.
• Provide other technical support as required.
• Participate in Oncall rotations

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in computer science or closely related field. Must have Eight (10) years indepth experience using Microsoft SQL Serverand 2022 on Windows Server Azure certification is preferred. Other education and experience may be considered.
• Excellent database administration and development skills and a good working experience of MS SQL Server including Clustering Always on Availability Groups SSIS & SSRS are required.
• Must have knowledge on Rubrik Backups MySQL Microsoft Azure SQL Database AWS Redis Mongo DB etc.
