Heavy Equipment Operator
Pay:$20/HR
Hours:5:30 AM until work is completed for the day
Job Type:Temp to Hire
Location:Oklahoma City Oklahoma
Job Description:
The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery in a safe and efficient manner. This role is essential for the preparation and execution of construction projects ensuring that equipment is wellmaintained and that operations adhere to safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Operation:Operate heavy machinery including D8T dozers G23F graders bulldozers excavators loaders and cranes.
- Maintenance:Conduct regular inspections and perform minor repairs to ensure all equipment is functioning optimally.
- Safety Compliance:Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
- Blueprint Interpretation:Read and interpret blueprints and project plans to identify work requirements and determine the necessary equipment.
- Site Preparation:Prepare construction sites by clearing debris leveling surfaces and setting up equipment as needed.
- Team Coordination:Collaborate with other team members and site supervisors to ensure an efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
Skills Required:
- Experience:Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator particularly in a quarry or construction environment.
- Technical Skills:Strong technical knowledge of heavy machinery operation maintenance and repair.
- Physical Stamina:Ability to work long hours in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Safety Awareness:Comprehensive understanding of safety regulations and practices related to heavy equipment operation.
- Communication:Good verbal communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- ProblemSolving:Ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and make quick decisions to ensure project efficiency.
