Job Description
Job Title: AC Technician
Job Type: Contract
About Company: Our client is a major West African company that specializes in building and construction projects particularly in mechanical and electrical systems across Africa.
Job Summary: The company is seeking to hire a professional AC Technician who will be responsible for the installation repair and maintenance of air conditioning systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance checks (voltage temperature pressure etc.)
- Inspect and clean components (strainers ductwork)
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC system faults
- Calibrate and adjust systems for optimal performance
- Maintain accurate records
- Demonstrate ability to work with minimal daily supervision.
- Any other related duties that may be assigned from time to time.
OHS Responsibilities:
- Prioritize safety in all work activities.
- Follow safety procedures and wear PPE.
- Report hazards and incidents.
- Know emergency procedures and equipment locations.
Requirements
- Degree diploma or relevant technical certifications or licenses.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and equipment.
- Experience in troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
- Knowledge of relevant machines and tools their design their uses repair and maintenance.
- Knowledge of basic customer service principles.
- Knowledge of tools and materials relevant to heating ventilation and air conditioning installations repair and maintenance.
Skills:
- Finger dexterity Arm hand steadiness Static strength and manual dexterity
- Excellent near vision
- Ability to read and write
- Effective communication and listening skills
- Basic calculation skills
- Time management skills
- Good team work skills
Benefits
N691.35 N1154.95 per hour (before applicable deductions) based on Job grade/level.
