Job Description
Job Title: Network Architect
Location: Dublin: Onsite and Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days offsite per week)
Contract / Permanent: FTC 12 Months With further extension
Start date: January 2025
Role:
The Client is seeking the services of a Senior Network Architect with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the design and rollout of a Zero Trust network model in the Department. They will work with the Strategic Infrastructure and Architecture team to develop a HighLevel Network Design and a roadmap for the transition to a Zero Trust model. The HLD will include microsegmentation VxLAN and other cuttingedge technologies in a comprehensive approach to securing the Clients digital infrastructure. The successful candidate is expected to have significant experience in this area and must have previous design experience in zero trust networks for a similarly sized organisation.
Experience Level Required:
It is a mandatory requirement that the Resource proposed has the equivalent of Senior i.e. >8 years experience. No other experience levels will be accepted.
Relevant industry certifications such as CCNP CCIE JNCIEENT or equivalent.
It is a mandatory requirement that the Resource proposed has Full Irish Driving Licence
Key Deliverable:
The following nonexhaustive list of Key Deliverables are applicable to this Role.
Analyse current LAN/WAN infrastructure and develop a highlevel design (HLD) for a Zero Trust network deployment across Client Department office locations.
Document lowlevel requirements specifications and produce a roadmap for the transition to the proposed network model.
Design a spineleaf network architecture for the Client Department s on premises computestorage and HCI environments.
Redesign access switching ACL s and VLAN s with design considerations based on a Blended working environment and a costefficient operating model.
Lead the planning testing and deployment phases of LAN/WAN infrastructure upgrades.
Collaborate with the Client Department security team on the roll out of 802.1x authentication and ensure that the network architecture complies with cybersecurity frameworks.
Participate in weekly CAB meetings and provide progress reports to management and other stakeholders when required.
Contribute to the development and promotion of technical standards and templates such as architecture assessment documents and assist in prioritising work requests in conjunction with project managers and business units.
Implementation of energyefficient technologies into the network design to support green networking.
Contribute to the Departments Enterprise Architecture function
Provide subject matter expertise on LAN WAN VOIP Hybrid DC s and cloud integration strategies.

Experience with network segmentation in cloud and hybrid environments.
Ability to create detailed network design documentation and diagrams.

Effective communication skills for both technical and nontechnical audiences.
