Job Description
Job Description:
- The driver will be responsible for loading and unloading materials and equipment at various job sites.
- Operate dump trucks and rolloff trucks to transport materials such as dirt debris and construction waste.
- Perform pretrip and posttrip inspections to ensure vehicles are in safe operating condition.
- Secure loads to prevent shifting or spillage during transport.
- Communicate effectively with the field supervisor and other team members to coordinate deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of materials transported delivery times and mileage.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations including DOT requirements.
- Always maintain proper attire including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) safety vests and glasses when appropriate long pants hard sole/closetoed work boots and presenting a clean and professional appearance.
- Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients and site personnel.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any issues to the Maintenance Manager.
Requirements
- Valid CDL (Class A or B) with a clean driving record.
- Valid DOT Medical card
- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating dump trucks and rolloff trucks preferred.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and local transportation laws.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills and a strong commitment to safety.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Must be able to climb in and out of trucks multiple times per day.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions including heat cold and rain.
- Good handeye coordination and physical dexterity.
