Location: Utica NY 13502
Guaranteed Hours: 48
Duration: 13 Weeks Contract
Shift: 8hr Eve
Pay Rate: $25/hr
Description / Comment :
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to join our nursing team. As a CNA you will provide essential support to our patients and assist our nursing staff in delivering highquality care. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our patients receive the attention and care they need to recover and thrive.

- 37.5 guaranteed hours
- Every other weekend if required
- Must float to all units (same building)
- 1 years experience
- BLS
- NY license
- 40 bed unit
- Patient populations: MS ortho dementia memory care
- EMR: PointClick Care
- Patient Care: Assist patients with daily activities including bathing dressing grooming feeding and mobility while ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Measure and record patients vital signs such as temperature blood pressure pulse and respiration rates and report any changes to the nursing team.
- Support Nursing Staff: Assist nurses with medical procedures wound care and the administration of basic treatments as directed.
- Patient Communication: Provide emotional support to patients and their families addressing any concerns and helping them feel comfortable during their stay.
- Environment Maintenance: Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean organized and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient care activities and observations in the medical records.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Active CNA certification in the state of NY.
- Experience: Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required; new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Skills: Strong communication interpersonal and organizational skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift move and assist patients as well as perform other physical tasks associated with patient care.
