Job Description
Responsibilities
- Manage the 10member Metabolic Engineering team.
- Collaborate with the VP of Bioengineering and other leadership to design and implement processes for continuous improvement in product development.
- Prepare execute and oversee technical plans.
- Evaluate experimental designs for technical soundness and alignment with company objectives.
- Provide coaching to team members on experimental design and data analysis.
- Maintain the quality of processes and methods within the technology team ensuring data quality document management and access.
- Participate in project team meetings as a technical expert.
- Work closely with the Project Management Office to ensure task completion and alignment with overall objectives.
- Ensure that the scientific team remains focused on key deliverables maintaining a clear vision and timeline for project milestones.
- Participate in evaluating new product opportunities and assessing technical risks.
- PhD in Biochemistry Chemical Engineering Metabolic Engineering or a related scientific or engineering field with at least 5 years of relevant leadership experience.
- Relevant industrial experience is a must with preference for Industrial Biotechnology.
- Proven experience leading teams and projects involving engineered microbes laboratory automation and handling large datasets.
- Strong quantitative datadriven analysis skills with an analytical mindset.
- Experience in metabolic flux modeling and biochemistry enzymatic kinetics and inhibitions.
- Experience drafting and revising technical plans detailed methods SOPs and protocols.
- Experience managing direct and indirect reports.
- Ability to work effectively in crossdisciplinary teams.
- Must be a selfstarter motivated scientifically curious and collaborative.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule including occasional evenings and weekends.
$160000 $200000 a year
