Job Description
Job Title: Application Security Engineer (US Citizens Only)
Location: Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Design implement and maintain application security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Conduct security assessments including threat modeling code reviews and penetration testing on applications.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including developers product managers and IT to integrate security into application designs and workflows.
- Develop and maintain security documentation including security policies procedures and guidelines.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities within applications.
- Provide guidance and training to development teams on secure coding practices and application security standards.
- Stay updated with the latest security trends vulnerabilities and technologies to continuously improve application security.
- Participate in security audits and compliance assessments to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Security or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as an Application Security Engineer or similar role.
- Strong understanding of application security principles methodologies and tools.
- Experience with security assessment tools (e.g. SAST DAST) and secure coding practices.
- Familiarity with web application technologies (e.g. HTML CSS JavaScript REST APIs) and common vulnerabilities (e.g. OWASP Top Ten).
- Excellent problemsolving skills with the ability to analyze complex security issues and propose effective solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills capable of working effectively in a team environment.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git) and familiarity with Agile development processes.
- Relevant security certifications (e.g. CISSP CEH CSSLP) are a plus.
- Federal Experience is a plus.
- Required Security clearance.
