Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: In this role your main responsibilities will include
- Planning curriculum lessons and special education programs using effective teaching methods.
- Maintaining regular contact with parents and involving them in their childs educational progress.
- Ensuring the classroom environment is wellorganized and conducive to learning.
- Instructing individuals and groups in various special education skill areas.
- Modifying curriculum according to individualized education plans (IEPs) and conducting testing evaluations.
Program Details:
- Graders: 79
- Caseload: 20 students approximately
- Number of working hours per week: 3540
Working hours: 08:15 am to 03:25 pm (plus faculty meeting 3 times per month & conferences too)
Requirements
- Active License for special education teacher in RI
- Bachelors degree is required with preferred classroom experience.
- 2 years of experience working as a special education teacher.

Certificates and/or Licenses: Active special education teacher license for the state of PA Education and/or Experience: B.A./B.S. degree is required, with preferred classroom experience. 2+ years of experience working as a special education teacher.
