Roles and responsibilities

As a Back-End Developer at Condor Gaming, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our websites and applications operate smoothly, securely, and efficiently. Collaborating closely with front-end developers and other stakeholders, you will develop robust APIs, manage databases, and optimize server performance to deliver an exceptional user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing server-side logic that powers our websites. You will handle requests and responses between the server and client, ensuring efficient data flow. Writing and maintaining scalable server-side code is crucial, as is designing, implementing, and managing databases to store critical data such as content and user information.

Your expertise will be vital in creating secure, fast, and well-documented APIs to connect front-end services with back-end functionalities. You will also integrate third-party APIs, including payment gateways and social media logins, to enhance our platform's capabilities.

Optimizing server response times and database queries will be key to achieving fast load times and responsiveness. You will implement caching strategies to reduce server load and improve user experience. Close collaboration with front-end developers will ensure seamless functionality across our websites.

Your responsibilities will also include providing back-end support for dynamic features like search functions, user accounts, and data submission forms. You will deploy websites to web servers, manage hosting environments, and monitor performance, security, and uptime. Regular maintenance tasks, such as updates and bug fixes, will also fall under your purview.

Desired candidate profile

Essential Requirements:

We are looking for candidates with up to 2 years of experience in back-end development, particularly in building scalable and efficient server-side applications. The ideal candidate will have experience with:

• Apache HTTPD
• PHP 7.4+
• MySQL 8
• SASS
• jQuery
• HTML
• Doctrine ORM
• Zend Framework
• Git Version Control

Bonus Skills (Not Essential):

Familiarity with Docker, NodeJS (with Gulp), Symfony Framework, and Jenkins CI/CD will be considered a plus.
