Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

1. Strategic Planning

  • Develop Sales and Marketing Strategies: Create comprehensive sales and marketing plans aligned with the organization's goals and objectives to drive revenue and market share growth.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape, and use this data to inform strategic decisions.

2. Team Leadership and Management

  • Manage Sales and Marketing Team: Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales and marketing team, providing guidance and support to achieve individual and team targets.
  • Recruitment and Training: Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge necessary for success.

3. Sales Management

  • Set Sales Targets: Establish sales goals and objectives for the team, regularly monitoring progress and performance against these targets.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders, addressing their needs and concerns to foster loyalty and satisfaction.

4. Marketing Campaign Development

  • Plan and Execute Campaigns: Design and implement effective marketing campaigns, promotions, and initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
  • Content Creation: Oversee the creation of marketing materials, including brochures, social media content, press releases, and website content, ensuring consistency with brand messaging.

5. Digital Marketing Oversight

  • Online Presence Management: Manage the organization’s digital marketing efforts, including social media, email marketing, and online advertising to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  • Website Management: Ensure that the company’s website is updated and optimized for user experience and search engine visibility.

6. Budget Management

  • Manage Marketing Budget: Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to achieve maximum return on investment.
  • Track Expenses: Monitor expenditures related to marketing initiatives and campaigns, ensuring alignment with the budget.

7. Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Analyze Performance Metrics: Track and analyze sales and marketing performance data to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and strategies, making data-driven adjustments as needed.
  • Prepare Reports: Generate regular reports for senior management outlining sales and marketing performance, insights, and recommendations.

8. Collaboration with Other Departments

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., finance, operations, and product development) to align sales and marketing efforts with overall business objectives.
  • Feedback Integration: Gather feedback from various departments to improve sales and marketing strategies.

9. Networking and Partnerships

  • Build Partnerships: Develop partnerships and collaborations with external stakeholders, including vendors, sponsors, and community organizations, to enhance marketing efforts and brand presence.

Desired candidate profile

1. Educational Background

  • Degree in Business or Related Field: A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is typically required. A Master’s degree (MBA) can be advantageous.

2. Experience

  • Sales and Marketing Experience: 5-8 years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing marketing campaigns.
  • Management Experience: Prior experience in a managerial role, leading a team and developing effective strategies to drive performance.

3. Key Skills
