Job Description
Name of position: Senior Support Engineer
Note: its remote position
Note: This position will be considered for consultanttopermanent City hire.
Justification:
We re seeking a highly skilled Senior Support Engineer to join our team and work alongside our experienced Senior Tech Lead on the citywide MWBE Business Diversity Software implementation. Youll play a vital role in supporting the technical aspects of this project ensuring its smooth operation and successful deployment.
In this role you will:
- Collaborate with the Senior Tech Lead and development team to provide technical expertise and troubleshooting assistance.
- Analyze and resolve complex technical issues that may arise during development testing and deployment.
- Assist with the configuration and integration of COTS (Commercial OffTheShelf) solutions.
- Document technical processes and procedures.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the project scope and goals to proactively identify potential roadblocks.
- Provide ongoing technical support to the development team and stakeholders.
TASKS:
- Ensure successful technology delivery and reliability of citywide MWBE Business Diversity Software solution.
- Collaborate with the Senior Tech Lead and development team to provide technical expertise and troubleshooting assistance.
- Analyze and resolve complex technical issues that may arise during development testing and deployment.
- Assist with the configuration and integration of COTS (Commercial OffTheShelf) solutions.
- Document technical processes and procedures.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the project scope and goals to proactively identify potential roadblocks.
- Provide ongoing technical support to the development team and stakeholders.
- Design and implement a comprehensive solution leveraging both custom development and COTS solutions as appropriate.
- Be handson as needed: writing code configuring COTS solutions creating architecture diagrams building automation pipelines building integrations submitting technical requests such as build of materials firewall rule changes security changes etc.
- Ensure adherence to legal technological and operational standards throughout the project.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and ensure system stability.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders (business and technical) to define project goals scope and potential risks.
- Work closely with OTIs Cyber Command unit to ensure security compliance throughout the development lifecycle.
Technical Expertise:
- Bachelor s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development technical architecture and technical leadership.
- Experience with cloudbased SaaS solutions (Dynamics Salesforce ServiceNow B2G NOW).
- Handson experience using at least one major programming language (Java Python C# C JavaScript Go).
- Strong understanding of Cloudbased architecture with handson experience using Azure or AWS.
- Demonstrated knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile Scrum Kanban SAFe preferred).
- Strong analytical troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
- DevOps:
- Strong understanding and handson experience using DevOps toolsets (Azure DevOps Jenkins JIRA).
- Demonstrated experience building automated build pipelines.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
Project Management and Organization:
- Ability to plan organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Business Acumen:
- Demonstrated experience in analyzing and interpreting policies and procedures.
- Ability to work with crossfunctional teams (architects developers engineers domain experts) to document nonfunctional requirements.
- Solid attention to detail.
- Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
Business Diversity Software:
- Knowledge of B2GNOW software or similar solutions.

About Us:
Experience directly managing technical initiatives w/large project teams throughout the various IT areas, technical complexity and vendor involvement. Experience with Enterprise solutions PMP Certification Four (4) year college degree or equivalent technical study Familiarity and experience with the Pennsylvania DHS
