Key Responsibilities in Product Innovation and Strategy
Strategic Product Development: Drive the strategic direction and development of HomePros innovative product lines ensuring alignment with market trends and consumer needs.
Market Analysis and Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify opportunities for new product innovations and enhancements to existing offerings.
CrossFunctional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with engineering design and marketing teams to bring innovative product concepts to life.
Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess product success and inform strategy adjustments.
Innovation Leadership: Foster a culture of innovation encouraging brainstorming and creative problemsolving within the team to propel new ideas forward.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills for Product Innovation and Strategy Managers
- Industry Knowledge: Experience with home security automation or residential AV with a solid understanding of IoT and smart home ecosystems.
- Strategic and Analytical Abilities: Skilled in market analysis trendspotting and datadriven decisionmaking using tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Vendor and Product Lifecycle Management: Strong vendor relations and proficiency with PLM tools (e.g. SAP PLM Arena).
- Project and Team Leadership: Proven track record of leading crossfunctional teams with expertise in project management tools like Asana or JIRA.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Business Marketing or related fields (MBA or advanced certifications in product management preferred).
- Adaptability and Innovation: Demonstrated passion for technology trends problemsolving and continuous learning to drive product innovation.
