Groovy (work in Groovy Libraries) on Enterprise DevOps Team!
Our Clients Enterprise DevOps Engineering group is seeking a Groovy Developer to to join our team. We internally build DevOps products that are used across our IT delivery organization as well as leverage several licensed products. This position encompasses both leadership and individual contributor responsibilities to advance our common DevOps pipelines. Critical technical skills include deep expertise with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines across multiple languages as well as Enterprise DevOps or similar shared service team experience.
Responsibilities
- Support a community of internal developers through ownership of common Enterprise Jenkins shared pipeline libraries and GitHub Actions shared workflows.
- Answering questions and direct guidance on proper use of enterprise pipelines and resolve any issues delivery teams experience fitting their use case into enterprise CI/CD patterns.
- Create and update pipeline FAQs to provide a robust knowledgebase for teams to use our tools.
- Evangelize reusable DevOps pipeline capabilities across enterprise
- Assists in maintaining pipeline code and performs community contribution PR reviews in an innersource model and maintains deep levels of involvement in the implementation process.
- Function as a handson member of the DevOps teams guiding & mentoring others to design document develop test deploy and maintain DevOps pipelines orchestration and compliance tooling.
Requirements
- A record of strong teamwork and collaboration skills including solid oral and communication skills
- Must have 4 years experience with Groovy. AWS API Libraries AWS CLI bash Python and Java/typescript recommended
nice to have
- Experienced using and creating Jenkins / Cloudbees Core CI or SDA automated build pipelines
- Previously designed GitHub Actions workflows that can be reusable and consumable at enterprise scale
- Highly skilled in USING Kubernetes and the management or maintenance of a cluster (OpenShift/EKS preferred)
- Worked on an Enterprise / Shared Service DevOps team previously
- 5 years of experience in Software Development and Best Practices
- Strong infrastructure as code experience (Terraform Ansible )
- Experience with build tools (such as Please Maven and Gradle)
- Proficient in building queries dashboards alerts synthetics in Splunk and Dynatrace
- Skilled in Git and Git branching strategies
