Job Description

Senior Manager of Quality Control

We are a growing fullservice CPA firm with offices in New York City New Jersey Long Island Maryland White Plains and California is seeking a Senior Manager of Quality Control for our Ocean NJ office. We cultivate unique relationships with each client accommodating specific needs and providing personal attention recognition and respect.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a liaison to the Director of Quality Control assisting the audit team in various areas where QC reviews are not performed.
  • Perform quality control reviews for our audit and review practices across various industries including brokerdealers notforprofit SEC filers manufacturers real estate and hedge funds.
  • Assist with the peer review process and manage any PCAOB inspections.
  • Help update and maintain our quality control manual ensuring compliance with PCAOB SEC and other regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the firms annual independence process.
  • Monitor continuing professional education (CPE) compliance for the entire firm.
  • Contribute to the development and facilitation of training programs for staff (CPE).
  • Support the annual registration process with the AICPA PCAOB NJCPA and other state registrations/renewals as needed.
  • Provide guidance and oversight on quality control policies and procedures for engagements not directly reviewed.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance Accounting or a related business field.
  • Active CPA license.
  • Minimum of 8 years of public accounting experience.
  • Previous experience in quality control.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP GAAS PCAOB and quality control standards.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with partners and senior management.
  • Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated decisionmaking project management and problemsolving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities work independently and as part of a team.
  • Creative thinker with a solutionoriented mindset.
