Job Description
Position: Radiologic Technologist XRay
Start Date: 11/18/2024
Duration: 13 weeks
Location: Exeter NH 03833
Shift Type/Shift Times/Hours/Day: Nights 8
Shift Notes: MonThurs: 8:30p7a 40 hrs/week

COVID Vaccination: COVID VACCINATION REQUIRED FOR THIS NEED. PLEASE DO NOT UPLOAD YOUR TRAVELER IF THEY CHOOSE NOT TO BE VACCINATED. UPLOAD VACCINATION CARD/INTENT WITH PROFILE. An initial Vaccination series is required. Exemptions may be approved for religious or medical reasons.
Travel Policy: will not consider anyone who has a permanent address within 50 miles of the hospital. No locals accepted
Unit Details:
Equipment: The majority is Carestream Siemens Luminos Agile Fluoroscopy rooms a Shimadzu room and GE carms
Fluoroscopy: Experience is required because we have a heavy fluoroscopy load daily. We perform procedures every 30 minutes from 8a2p MonFri.
Mobile Imaging: Carm and portable xray experience required. We have a high volume of portable chest Xrays. We run the carm for spine cases joint replacements general surgery such as lap choles VAD insertions and urology cases.
IV experience is NOT needed.
Operates radiology/fluoroscopic equipment to produce images/radiographs (xrays) of the body for diagnostic purposes as directed by the Radiologist by performing the following duties.
- Positions patient on examining table and adjusts immobilization devices as needed to obtain optimum views of the specified area of body requested by Physician.
- Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
- Moves radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment into specified positions and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors such as time and distance.
- Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff.
- Operates mobile radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment in the operating room emergency room or at the patients bedside.
- Operates film processing equipment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- 2 years of current Xray experience
- ARRT (R) certificate
- Fluoro experience required daily procedures
- Should have experience with ER OR and Bedside imaging please note on profile
- Experience with AdolescentGeriatric
- NH MIRT temp license in effect out of state Radiology license needed for TEMP please submit temp application to NH OPLC asap if interested in the opportunity
