Year 6 Teacher Responsibilities
As a Year 6 teacher you will be responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key Stage 2 promoting teamwork and cultivating a conducive learning environment.
Teaching the Key Stage 2 curriculum to groups of children while also focusing on each individual childs learning targets encouraging their strengths and improving their weaknesses
Keeping track of childrens progress and occasionally reporting back to parents
Year 6 Teacher Requirements
A qualified teacher status (QTS) PGCE or equivalent
Experience in teaching Year 6 students and preparing them for SATs exams
A proven track record of delivering highquality lessons and achieving excellent academic results
A strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment methodologies
Excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills
Patience resilience and a passion for teaching
A willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues
