The Ultrasound Tech will perform sonography procedures for the diagnosis of medical conditions assisting radiologists with biopsy and drainage procedures as needed. All procedures will be executed according to departmental protocols policies and established standards of practice. The role includes performing highlevel disinfection of ultrasound probes exercising professional judgment and maintaining a demeanor reflective of medical ethics. The Ultrasound Tech will assess monitor and provide appropriate care for patients throughout the process.
Primary Responsibilities:- Perform sonography procedures to aid in medical diagnosis.
- Assist radiologists with biopsy and drainage procedures.
- Follow departmental protocols policies and standards of practice for procedures.
- Perform highlevel disinfection of ultrasound probes as per protocols.
- Provide appropriate patient care and assess patient needs during procedures.
- Maintain professionalism and uphold medical ethics in all interactions.
- Graduation from an accredited ultrasound program and ARDMS registryeligible (must complete registry within 9 months of hire).
OR - ARRT registry with ultrasound credential.
- American Heart Association BLS (must obtain within 30 days of hire).
