SEN Teaching Assistant Autism Support Brixton
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Brixton is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work with children with autism. Responsibilities:
- Provide oneonone support for students with autism encouraging their social emotional and academic development.
- Assist in creating and implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and adapt lessons to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborate closely with the SENCO and classroom teachers to establish inclusive strategies that help students thrive.
- Monitor and track student progress adapting strategies as needed to ensure ongoing improvement and engagement.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with children with autism or other special educational needs.
- A calm patient and empathetic approach to supporting childrens needs.
- Uptodate DBS check (required).
