This marks the 11th straight year that the Queen s Medical Center has earned the #1 spot.The Leapfrog Group an independent rating agency that evaluates health care providers on safety quality and customer value awarded The Queen s Medical Center A grades for Hospital Safety.The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) awarded The Queen s Medical Center a fivestar rating placing the hospital in the top 10% of hospitals nationwide.EMPLOYEE BENEFITS:Excellent compensation.Generous benefits package.Professional development reimbursement.Relocation assistance of up to BR000 for those relocating to Hawai i.JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:Occupational Therapist (OT): Plans develops and implements progressive rehabilitation programs for patients according to the principles and practices of occupational therapy.TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Standing walking finger dexterity seeing hearing speaking.Constant: reaching below shoulder.Frequent: stooping/bending lifting usual weight of 15 pounds pushing/pulling usual weight of up to 50 pounds reaching above/below shoulder squatting twisting body carrying usual weight of 15 pounds repetitive arm/hand motions.Occasional: kneeling crawling climbing stairs walking on uneven ground static gripping of an object for prolonged periods frequent gripping of an object.TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.Some exposure to body fluids and communicable diseases; exposure to cleaning agents.Work environment is fast paced and sometimes stressful due to various demands on therapist.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:Current Hawaii State license as an Occupational Therapist.Current certification as Occupational Therapy Registered (OTR) from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy Inc.Current BLS certification.EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:Prior Occupational Therapy experience in acute care outpatient inpatient rehabilitation skilled nursing or home health environments preferred.Acute care experience highly preferred.Equal Opportunity Employer / Disability / Vet
