You will be updated with latest job alerts via email• Motor Overhaul: Proficiency in dismantling, inspecting, repairing, and rewinding various types of electric motors. This includes ensuring that all motors are refurbished to meet operational standards and safety regulations.
• Pump Services and Refurbishment: Handling different types of pumps such as centrifugal, progressive cavity, and positive displacement pumps. The manager is responsible for overseeing the complete refurbishment process from assessment to testing.
• Dynamic Balancing: Conducting dynamic balancing of rotating equipment to reduce vibration and ensure smooth operation.
• Transformer Refurbishment: Although not the primary focus, familiarity with transformer refurbishment adds value to this role, suggesting an ability to oversee or advise on such tasks when necessary.
1. Operations Management:
Oversee daily operations of the workshop, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all workshop activities.
2. Team Leadership:
Manage, mentor, and train workshop staff, including technicians and apprentices.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
3. Resource Management:
Ensure availability of tools, equipment, and materials necessary for operations.
Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to prevent shortages.
4. Quality Control:
Monitor work quality to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
Implement quality assurance practices and address any quality issues promptly.
5. Safety Compliance:
Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Conduct regular safety inspections and training sessions to promote a safe working environment.
• An Electrical Engineering degree or a similar qualification.
• Candidates must have more than 5 years of experience, be South African-based, and currently working in GCC countries within the industrial, manufacturing, or engineering workshop.
• Expertise in electrical and mechanical equipment is required, along with the ability to relocate to Qatar immediately.
Assist in developing and managing the workshop budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
Monitor expenses and implement measures to reduce operational costs without compromising quality.
Customer Interaction:
Interface with clients to understand their needs and ensure satisfaction with services provided.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback effectively.
Project Coordination:
Plan and prioritize workshop projects, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
Coordinate with other departments to align workshop activities with overall company objectives.
Technical Oversight:
Provide technical support and guidance to workshop staff on complex tasks and repairs.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to enhance workshop capabilities.
Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of workshop activities, including work orders, service reports, and employee performance.
Prepare regular reports for management on workshop performance, productivity, and issues.
