Air Conditioning Technician

Roles and responsibilities

1). Knowledge of HVAC equipment and HVAC system in Power & Desalination plants

2) Hands on experience of working with HVAC System/s with respect to Electrical Cabling and Wiring, Brazing, Soldering, Fabrication for all the HVAC related work/s.

3) Capable to remove, disassemble and assemble (Alignment etc) HVAC equipment/s, motors etc.

4) Capable of Predictive, Preventive & Corrective maintenance of HVAC systems

5) Capable of checking and troubleshooting C&l issues and DDC Panel/Display Panel issues for HVAC equipment like AHU /ACCY, Chillers, Dampers & controls, Ducting, PAC, Window A/c.

6) Capable of reading piping, sketches, schematics and wiring diagrams of HVAC systems.
1. Installation:

Install, modify, and repair air conditioning systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
Ensure proper placement and alignment of air conditioning units and components.
2. Maintenance:

Perform regular maintenance checks on air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Clean and replace filters, check refrigerant levels, and inspect electrical components.
3. Troubleshooting:

Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with air conditioning systems, including electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant problems.
Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify faults and determine appropriate repairs.
4. Repair:

Repair or replace defective parts, including compressors, fans, coils, and thermostats.
Ensure that all repairs are performed according to safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
5. Customer Service:

Communicate with clients to explain issues and repairs needed, providing recommendations for system upgrades or replacements when necessary.
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through professional service and follow-up.

Desired candidate profile

• Familiarity with various types of air conditioning systems (split systems, central units, ductless systems, etc.).

2. Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in HVAC technology is preferred.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., EPA certification for handling refrigerants) are a plus.

3. Technical Skills:

• Proficient in installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning systems.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, refrigerants, and HVAC components.

4. Problem-Solving:

• Excellent troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
• Ability to think critically and make quick decisions under pressure.

5. Safety Awareness:

• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to HVAC systems and refrigerants.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and using personal protective equipment (PPE).

6. Customer Service:

• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and explain technical issues clearly.
• Ability to build positive relationships and provide excellent customer service.
