Piping Draughtsman

Roles and responsibilities

• Develop and prepare detailed mechanical drawings, schematics, and designs using CAD software.
• Conduct weld mapping activities, including the documentation of weld locations, types, and specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret project specifications and requirements.
• Review and revise drawings based on feedback from engineers and other stakeholders.
• Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and weld maps for project documentation.
• Assist in the troubleshooting of design issues and provide solutions.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to planning and scheduling activities.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in CAD technologies and welding techniques.
• Qualifications:
• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Draughtsman, with specific expertise in weld mapping.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other relevant design tools.
• Knowledge of welding processes, techniques, and industry standards.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings and documentation.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Project Management:

Desired candidate profile

Certification in welding inspection or related fields is a plus.
Familiarity with 3D modeling and design software.

Relevant certifications in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Plant 3D, MicroStation) are a plus.
3. Technical Skills:
