Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

Setting up all audio and visual equipment required for an event, this includes installing speakers, microphones, and projectors, as well as connecting all necessary cables.
Responsible for operating all audio and visual equipment, this includes adjusting sound levels and lighting, as well as troubleshooting any technical issues that may arise.
Responsible for maintaining all equipment used during an event, this includes performing regular maintenance checks and repairing any equipment that is damaged or malfunctioning.
Editing and copying videotapes
Ordering inventory
Mixing sound board, coordinating graphics
Operating spotlights
Managing video recordings
Providing technical support for corporate events
1. Setup and Operation:

Set up and operate audio, video, and lighting equipment for events, conferences, and presentations.
Test and troubleshoot all AV equipment prior to events to ensure proper functioning.
2. Maintenance and Repair:

Perform routine maintenance on AV equipment and address any technical issues that arise during events.
Keep inventory of equipment and ensure all gear is in good working condition.
3. Technical Support:

Provide on-site technical support during events, assisting presenters and attendees with AV-related issues.
Monitor audio and video feeds during events to ensure high-quality production.
4. Collaboration:

Work closely with event planners, production teams, and clients to understand specific AV needs and requirements.
Coordinate with other departments to integrate AV technology seamlessly into events.
5. Training:

Train staff and clients on the proper use of AV equipment as needed.
Develop and provide technical training materials for staff.


Desired candidate profile

  • Proficient in the use of audio and visual equipment, this includes understanding how to set up and operate equipment, as well as troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Must have a keen eye for detail, as even small mistakes can have a significant impact on the quality of an event.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with event planners, producers, and other professionals, this includes understanding technical requirements and explaining technical issues in a way that is easy for non-technical professionals to understand.
  • Must be able to think on their feet and quickly troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise during an event.
