In this position, you will be responsible for the comprehensive development of contracts, ensuring alignment with the objectives and requirements of the proponent organization. Your key duties will include planning, facilitating, and executing contracts that cater to a diverse range of transactions and activities. You will play a crucial role in evaluating, negotiating, and formalizing various contracts, which will contribute significantly to the organization's operational success.
A vital aspect of your responsibilities will be to oversee the procurement process, ensuring compliance with IMI procedures while maintaining high-quality standards in all deliverables. You will be tasked with regularly assessing and recommending modifications to existing contracting procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Your attention to detail will be crucial in ensuring that all activities meet the established procurement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), thus supporting the organization’s strategic goals.
You will also be responsible for maintaining comprehensive correspondence and documentation related to all contracts, ensuring that all records are accurate and up-to-date. This will require strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to managing contract-related documentation.
Candidates should possess a robust background in contract management and procurement, showcasing a proven track record of evaluating, negotiating, and executing various types of contracts. Experience in maintaining compliance with procurement standards and KPIs will be crucial. Qualifications and Experience
Educational Background
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or an equivalent discipline. This foundational education will equip you with the necessary skills to navigate the complexities of contract management effectively.
Professional Certifications
In addition to your educational background, holding professional qualifications is essential for this role. Candidates should ideally have a Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) designation from the National Contract Management Association, which demonstrates proficiency in commercial contract management principles. Additionally, a Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) designation, also from the National Contract Management Association, is highly desirable as it signifies advanced knowledge and expertise in contract management practices.
Furthermore, the Contract & Commercial Management (CCM) designation from the World Commerce & Contracting Association is an asset that reflects a comprehensive understanding of commercial principles and contract management strategies.
