The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of service contracts, which includes the development, review, and release of Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs). They will also engage with suppliers and proponents, lead the bid evaluation process, and manage the awarding and signing of contracts. The position requires a focus on securing high-quality products at competitive prices while ensuring timely delivery. Adherence to ethical standards and compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and local regulations is essential. The role demands integrity, accountability, strong communication skills, and a commitment to teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Development and Management: Facilitate the planning, execution, and oversight of contracts to meet the needs of the proponent organization. This includes coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure all requirements are met effectively.
Evaluation and Negotiation: Conduct thorough evaluations of proposals, negotiate terms, and finalize various contracts that encompass a wide array of transactions and activities. This process is crucial for achieving favorable outcomes for the organization.
Procurement Compliance: Ensure that all procurement activities are conducted in alignment with IMI procedures, maintaining a high standard of quality in all deliverables. This includes regular monitoring and compliance with established procurement KPIs.
Procedure Enhancement: Regularly assess and recommend modifications to contracting procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness in procurement practices.
Documentation and Correspondence: Maintain organized records and documentation related to contracts, ensuring that all correspondence is accurately tracked and filed for future reference.
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field is required.

Experience:
Demonstrated experience in procurement, contract management, or a related field is essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in successfully managing the full lifecycle of contracts, from initiation through to execution and compliance. Strong analytical skills and a keen attention to detail will be critical for evaluating proposals and negotiating contracts effectively. The candidate must also possess excellent interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and maintain effective communication with various stakeholders.
