Job Description
Mainframe System Administrator with z/OS or z/VM knowledge
Cincinnati OH (Onsite)
Contract
Experience and Qualification:
- Design and implementation of various mainframe tech solutions
- Support and Lead maintenance activities releases and major OS upgrades.
- Interact with customer and provide regular management reports / analysis.
- Work with IBM and other Independent Software Vendors on a regular basis to implement solutions
- Responsible for evaluating planning installing and maintaining the z/OS Operating system and related software products.
- Develop operational standards; provide technical assistance to application developers and operations personnel.
- Assists in evaluating and selecting major software and hardware subsystems for operational efficiency and to reduce operating costs. Lead software upgrades and maintenance activities.
- Assist in WLM tuning and Sysplex activities
- Experience in Storage and Backup
- Interact with other Mainframe SMEs/resources during US hours
- He will be the escalation contact POC across teams and vendors
