Roles and responsibilities

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive operational models for pilot projects, with a strong focus on value chain optimization, lean management frameworks, and agile operational models. Your primary aim will be to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of afforestation operations.

You will develop and standardize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work procedures specifically tailored to afforestation initiatives. This involves ensuring clarity, consistency, and compliance throughout all project phases, allowing for seamless execution and adherence to best practices.

Conducting operational assessments will be a critical aspect of your role. You will identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and benchmarks that drive both efficiency and effectiveness, facilitating continuous monitoring and improvement of operations. By aligning operational processes with governance structures, you will foster collaboration among stakeholders to ensure compliance with national environmental regulations and standards.

Training and development will also fall under your responsibilities. You will facilitate programs for project teams on operational models and procedures, ensuring staff are well-equipped to execute tasks effectively and sustainably. Qualifications & Skills

To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Environmental Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 15 years of experience in operations management. Your background should emphasize models and frameworks focused on environmental or sustainability projects.

Expertise in process improvement and operational efficiency is crucial. You should be well-versed in utilizing best practices to drive performance enhancements across various operational facets. A strong knowledge of environmental operations and systems management is essential, enabling you to develop effective operational frameworks that meet project objectives.

Familiarity with SOP development and operational modeling will be vital, ensuring the establishment of clear guidelines and procedures that align with organizational goals. Relevant certifications such as Six Sigma Green or Black Belt, as well as credentials in Lean Business Process or Business Process Management, would be advantageous and further demonstrate your commitment to excellence in operational management.
