Roles and responsibilities

1. Transportation of Goods:

   • Drive and operate a trailer truck to transport goods to various locations.
   • Ensure timely delivery of freight while adhering to scheduled routes.

2. Vehicle Maintenance:

   • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the vehicle, including checking brakes, lights, and tires.
   • Report any mechanical issues or needed repairs to the appropriate personnel.

3. Loading and Unloading:

   • Assist with the loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring safe handling and securing of goods.
   • Verify that cargo is loaded correctly and matches shipping documents.

4. Safety Compliance:

   • Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while driving.
   • Maintain a clean driving record and ensure compliance with legal requirements for transportation.

5. Documentation:

   • Keep accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transport.
   • Complete shipping and delivery paperwork as required.

6. Communication:

   • Maintain communication with dispatch and other relevant parties regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.
