Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

  • Prepare vendors & suppliers selection documents across all Al Futtaim entities in Egypt.
  • Conduct Market research and maintain a report/log.
  • Conduct periodical Vendors & suppliers' evaluation and produce/ maintain reports.
  • Review technical specifications and the BOQ and send it to the vendors.
  • Prepare tenders Documents (open tendering, selective tendering , negotiated tendering, etc)
  • Communicate RFQ's & RFT's to the vendors
  • Financial/Technical Comparison sheet preparation including technical compliance, terms of payments and delivery date.
  • Maintain Cost saving report.
  • Support negotiations for optimum quality and financial proposals
  • Handling Contractual and payment terms with the awarded vendors Perform market survey for the trades / items related to the required scope
  • Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
  • Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
  • Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.
  • Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Approving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.
  • Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
  • Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
  • Overseeing and managing the IT systems that track shipments, inventory, and the supply of goods.
  • Preparing procurement reports.

Desired candidate profile

  • Proficient in MS office (MS Excel / Word) and Knowledge of proprietary.
  • Hands-on knowledge & experience working with ERP tools like SAP MM & procurement specific system like ARIBA P2P
  • Experience in procurement process, form of Contracts
  • Negotiation skills
  • Fluent in English - reading & writing
  • Bachelor's Degree of Engineering is preferable.
  • Knowledge of procurement process, procedures, preparing, managing costs and administering contracts gained through formal training or work experience
  • 2+ years of experience in procurement or commercial role (Contractors, Clients, Consultants and Developers)
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration.
  • Proven experience managing supply chain operations.
  • Experience using supply chain management software and tools, including Oracle, SAP Ariba, and/or Envision.
  • In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).
  • Management and leadership skills.
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
