Roles and responsibilities
- Should have experience in environmental issues in design, construction or operation of landfill installations, including handling permits for plants, utilities, water treatment, wastewater treatment, petrochemicals, oilfield production and related hazardous disposals.
- Shall be capable of assisting / preparing Environmental Impact Assessment, conceptual site Modelling, Environmental Control for projects and ensure compliance during all stages of the Project.
Specific Accountabilities
- Project management and coordination of remediation programs, including the development and maintenance of project schedules and budgets and coordination of junior staff;
- Responsible for the successful execution of remediation programs including remedial design/implementation, excavation supervision and confirmatory sampling;
- Preparation and presentation to clients of technical correspondence, project proposals, reports, work plans, and project specifications including cost estimates and budgets;
- Regular communication with clients through verbal and written correspondence which may include presentations;
- Interpretation of environmental regulations and investigation results to successfully meet the clients requirements;
- Communication with regulators and stakeholders;
- Supervision, training and mentoring of junior employees;
- Quality assurance – responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the quality assurance system relevant to the Contaminated Sites Group;
- Become familiar with Worleys’ safety manuals and comply with Worleys’ Health & Safety policies;
- Responsible for personal safety and safe working practices for the Contaminated Sites Group. Understand and follow occupational health and safety procedures.
Qualification
B.Sc. Environmental Engineering .
Experience
- Experienced in similar role.
- Shall have experience in managing remediation technologies for oil contaminated soil . Must have experience in developing strategies for Remediation programs.
- Should be familiar with the necessary engineering and organisational controls required to prevent damage to the environment.
