Senior Site Engineer

Roles and responsibilities

• Promote and drive the involvement of Construction in areas of technical design, schedule, preliminary execution planning, and cost estimating.
• Develop and maintain familiarity and appreciation of capability and ongoing workload of Construction’s support providers/contractors.
• Develop and maintain functional responsibility for all construction and completions in PMC
• Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the BU, etc
• Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the BU, etc. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
  

Essential Skills/Experience

• Experience with the development of layouts for new facilities
• Experienced in the specification, evaluation, and documentation of equipment.
• Work is performed in accordance with broad technical guidelines and with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them.
  

Qualifications:-

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering ( Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Piping, Instrumentation)
• Post-graduation experience
• Post-graduation experience in major oil and gas projects
• Relevant years of experience in the same designation
• Must have experience working in large-sized construction projects and shall be responsible for all Site-related activities in the respective discipline, including HSE requirements in Oil & Gas facilities environment.
• Locally available in Kuwait candidates are preferred

• Project Management: Skills in planning, coordinating, and managing construction activities, including resource allocation and scheduling.

• Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly identify and resolve issues on-site to minimize delays and ensure smooth operations.

• Quality Control: Knowledge of quality assurance practices to ensure that work meets specified standards and regulations.

• Health and Safety Compliance: Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices to maintain a safe work environment.

• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with contractors, clients, and team members.

• Surveying Skills: Proficiency in conducting site surveys to ensure construction aligns with design specifications.

• Documentation Skills: Ability to maintain accurate records, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.

• Technical Software Proficiency: Familiarity with engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project) for design, planning, and documentation.

• Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building skills for effective teamwork with architects, contractors, and subcontractors.

• Budget Management: Skills in monitoring project budgets and expenses to ensure financial accountability.

• Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust to changing project conditions and requirements.
