Specific Accountabilities
Experience in seed production process, nursing green houses operation, seedling production and watering system.
Management and experience in the design and planning of the re-vegetation activities and manage field activities as per technical requirements
Proficiency in natural vegetation and re‐vegetation development in arid environment
Shall have experience in monitor and manage activity for revegetation components of the projects.
Shall have experience in different irrigation systems and water management.
Mandatory Requirements
Agronomy Knowledge: Strong understanding of soil science, crop production, pest management, and sustainable agricultural practices.
Research Skills: Ability to conduct field research and experiments to evaluate agricultural methods and technologies.
Data Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing agricultural data, including yield statistics, soil health metrics, and market trends.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with agricultural technologies, such as precision agriculture tools, drones, and GIS applications.
Crop Management: Skills in managing various crops throughout their growth cycle, including planting, fertilization, irrigation, and harvesting.
Pest and Disease Management: Knowledge of integrated pest management (IPM) practices to control pests and diseases sustainably.
Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of agricultural regulations, safety standards, and environmental laws affecting farming practices.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for educating farmers, presenting findings, and collaborating with stakeholders.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify challenges in agricultural systems and develop effective solutions to improve productivity and sustainability.
Financial Acumen: Understanding of farm economics, budgeting, and financial planning to support farmers in making informed decisions.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work collaboratively with farmers, agronomists, and agricultural organizations to promote best practices.
Sustainability Practices: Knowledge of sustainable farming techniques, including organic farming, agroecology, and water conservation.
