Job Description
Database Development:
- Design develop and optimize complex SQL queries stored procedures triggers views and functions.
- Create and manage database objects such as tables indexes and constraints to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Perform data modeling database schema design and ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes.
- Collaborate with application developers to create database structures and queries that support software development projects.
- Analyze query performance and implement optimization techniques for improved speed and resource management.
Database Administration:
- Install configure and upgrade SQL database servers and related products.
- Monitor database performance implement performance tuning measures and resolve issues with database performance.
- Design and implement backup restore and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data availability and integrity.
- Manage user access roles and security to ensure data privacy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as index rebuilding database integrity checks and data archiving.
- Automate routine DBA tasks using scripts and other tools to increase efficiency and reduce manual interventions.
