Job Description

Experience in a similar role as a Technical Account Manager Consultant Solutions Architect Platform Engineer Systems Engineer Cloud Architect etc. Understand operational parameters and troubleshooting for four (2) of the following: Compute / Storage / Networking / CDN / Databases / DevOps / Big Data and Analytics / Security / Architecture / Applications Development in a distributed systems environment External customerfacing experience with the ability to clearly articulate to small and large audiences Ability to juggle tasks and projects in a fastpaced environment

This is not a sales role but rather an opportunity to be the principal technical advisor and voice of the customer to organizations ranging from startups to Fortune 500 enterprises.

The Role

As a TAM you will help craft and execute strategies to drive our customers adoption and use of AWS services including EC2 S3 DynamoDB & RDS databases Lambda CloudFront CDN IoT and many more. Your technical acumen and customerfacing skills will enable you to effectively represent AWS within a customers environment and drive discussions with senior leadership regarding incidents tradeoffs support and risk management.
You will provide advocacy and strategic technical guidance to help plan and build solutions using best practices and proactively keep your customers AWS environments operationally healthy. The close relationships developed with your customers will allow you to understand their business/operational needs and technical challenges and help them achieve the greatest value from AWS. This position will require the ability to travel 10% or more as needed.

AWS Sales Marketing and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue adoption and growth from the largest and fastest growing small and midmarket accounts to enterpriselevel customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that worldclass support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building missioncritical applications on top of AWS services.

Youll advise on solutions provide technical guidance and advocate for the customer
  • Ensure AWS environments remain operationally healthy whilst reducing cost and complexity
  • Develop trusting relationships with customers understanding their business needs and technical challenges
  • Using your technical acumen and customer obsession youll drive technical discussions regarding incidents tradeoffs and risk management
  • Consult with a range of partners from developers through to Csuite executives
  • Collaborate with AWS Solutions Architects Business Developers Professional Services Consultants and Sales Account Managers
  • With a bias for action youll proactively find opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS
  • Provide detailed reviews of service events monthly & quarterly metrics detailed prelaunch planning
  • Solve a variety of problems across different customers as they migrate their workloads to the cloud

rofessional experience with AWS and/or other cloud offerings such as Azure Google Cloud Platform etc.
Programming or scripting skills with a combination of Java Python Perl Ruby C# and/or PHP
Previous experience as a Software Engineer Developer Solution Architect DevOps Engineer etc.
Understanding of DevOps practices and tools including: Continuous Integration / Deployment Puppet Docker Kubernetes Chef etc.
