Job Summary: We are looking for a highly experienced Senior z/OS Transaction and Network System Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in deploying maintaining and optimizing IMS/TM CICS CICS TG MQ Messaging TCP/IP and z/OS network systems. Experience working with a managed service provider is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Deploy maintain and optimize IMS/TM CICS CICS TG MQ Messaging TCP/IP and z/OS network systems.
Monitor and troubleshoot transaction and network systems to ensure high availability and performance.
Collaborate with managed service providers to ensure seamless integration and support of z/OS systems.
Develop and implement system enhancements and optimizations to improve efficiency and reliability.
Perform system upgrades and apply patches to maintain system security and compliance.
Create and maintain documentation for system configurations processes and procedures.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related fieldpreferred but not required. Okay with experience over degrees.
5 years of experience in z/OS transaction and network system engineering.
Proficiency in IMS/TM CICS CICS TG MQ Messaging TCP/IP and z/OS network systems.
Experience working with managed service providers.
Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Certifications in relevant technologies are a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with automation tools and scripting languages.
Knowledge of security best practices for z/OS systems.
Familiarity with cloud integration and hybrid environments.
