The role is crucial in representing the brand and maximizing sales through exceptional customer service and an outstanding retail experience. The successful candidate will work closely with the store manager and assistant store manager to ensure operational duties, including store maintenance and visual presentation, are performed to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service:
Delivering exceptional customer service is at the heart of this role. You will greet customers warmly, guiding them in selecting the right products and converting window shoppers into loyal buyers. Promoting the Club Apparel Loyalty Program is essential to encourage repeat sales. Adhering to the company’s selling guidelines, specifically the GUEST method—Greet, Understand, Explain, Sell, and Thank—ensures a seamless customer experience. Staying informed about various brands within the group is vital for effective suggestive selling, helping customers make informed decisions.
Grooming and Knowledge:
Maintaining a professional appearance and positive attitude is non-negotiable. You will need to be flexible, particularly during sale periods, which may require extended hours. Continuous learning about products is essential to minimize stock loss and provide customers with accurate information.
Merchandising:
The presentation of merchandise plays a significant role in attracting customers. You will ensure that all stock is displayed according to standard layout norms and visual merchandising (VM) guidelines. Regularly checking stock levels and maintaining clearance standards will be part of your responsibilities. Keeping accurate records of inventory movements—both inward and outward—is critical for effective stock management.
Point of Sale (POS) Operations:
You will handle the POS and billing counter efficiently, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately. This includes tallying cash in the till at the beginning and end of shifts, issuing receipts, refunds, and change correctly. Processing payments via cash, credit cards, vouchers, and automatic debits must be done with attention to detail and accuracy.
Being flexible with working hours and willing to take on varied shifts as needed by the business is important. Collaborating effectively with team members ensures a cohesive work environment focused on achieving sales targets and enhancing customer satisfaction.
