Role Overview
Under the supervision of the Director of Information Technology the Coordinator is responsible for planning organizing directing and controlling activities and resources related to IT networks and telecommunications systems for administrative and educational purposes. The Coordinator also manages the IT support team for microcomputing and laboratories in a work environment focused on participation accountability and customer service in a harmonious atmosphere. To serve over 7000 users the service includes several physical servers and approximately 60 virtual servers running Linux and Windows about 2000 workstations (including 200 Mac OSX devices) a fleet of tablets and IP and digital telephony systems distributed across three sites.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the staff under your supervision ensuring engagement and effective leadership particularly in task distribution customer service professional development policy implementation onboarding and performance evaluation.
Supervise user support including providing information troubleshooting training and skill development for college staff regarding IT systems and best practices for digital tools and collaboration software.
Manage and oversee IT assets computer maintenance systems servers peripherals operating systems and software as well as technological installations and digital assets ensuring reliability performance and profitability.
Establish standards and principles for information management guide technicians in applying them and ensure optimal customer service for user support.
Advise the director and provide guidance to other managers within the organization.
Ensure continuous improvement and quality of processes and services under your responsibility particularly by developing management tools.
Collaborate on the development of policies programs work plans strategic development plans budgets and staffing plans.
Manage projects as required.
Ensure compliance with information security standards in service delivery.
Represent the college in associations organizations and committees participate in working groups and manage supplier relationships.
Monitor technology trends and conduct research evaluation and testing of new equipment and software to foster innovation and meet users diverse needs.
Collaborate on maintaining the college s IT infrastructure (servers virtualization telecommunications telephony workstations and peripherals).
Perform any other related duties as needed.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in a relevant field such as IT
Five years of relevant experience
Requirements
