Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher looking for your next opportunity We are currently seeking a Year 1 teacher to join our welcoming and vibrant primary school in Barking starting January 2025. This is a fantastic chance to work with a supportive team and make a real impact in a Year 1 classroom.
Our Year 1 pupils are inquisitive eager and full of energy. We strive to create a nurturing and inclusive environment that encourages them to become confident independent learners. We are looking for a Year 1 teacher who can bring lessons to life foster creativity and guide our students as they take their first steps in their educational journey.
About the Role:
- Position: FullTime Year 1 Teacher
- Location: Barking
- Start Date: January 2025

- Someone who is passionate about developing literacy and numeracy skills through interactive and creative teaching methods suitable for a Year 1 classroom.

- An individual who can manage behaviour effectively in a Year 1 setting and work collaboratively with other staff members to enhance the overall learning experience for children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and ageappropriate lessons following the Key Stage 1 curriculum focusing on building strong foundations for Year 1 pupils in reading writing and numeracy.
- Promote the social and emotional development of each Year 1 child encouraging them to build confidence form friendships and develop a love for learning.
- Assess and track Year 1 pupils progress tailoring your teaching approach to meet individual needs and ensuring each child reaches their full potential.
- Work closely with parents and carers providing regular feedback and updates on their Year 1 childs achievements and areas for development.
