Science Teacher Sought for Outstanding Secondary School in Croydon
We are pleased to partner with a highachieving secondary school in Croydon recognized for its Outstanding Ofsted rating and commitment to providing a stimulating and supportive learning environment. They are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join their exceptional Science department in a fulltime permanent position.
Position Summary:
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the schools continued success by inspiring and nurturing young scientific minds. This role involves delivering engaging and informative lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 fostering a love for science and equipping students with essential scientific knowledge and skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver highquality Science lessons that align with the national curriculum and the schools high academic standards.
- Create a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement curiosity and a passion for scientific inquiry.
- Assess student progress provide constructive feedback and implement personalized learning strategies to maximize individual potential.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Science department and the wider school community to enhance the curriculum and contribute to extracurricular activities.
- Stay abreast of current pedagogical approaches and developments in Science education.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree or higher in a Sciencerelated field (Biology Chemistry Physics or General Science).
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
- Proven experience teaching Science at the secondary level ideally across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Ideal Candidate:
- Passionate about Science and its realworld applications with a strong commitment to student success.
- Possesses excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently demonstrating initiative and adaptability.
- A strong understanding of effective teaching methodologies and assessment strategies.
