Are you eager to equip teenagers with the tools to understand and appreciate the diverse religious tapestry of the world A Barking Schoolseeks a compassionate and knowledgeable RE Teacher (KS3KS5) to join our dynamic team on a fulltime permanent basis.
In this rewarding role youll be a champion for interfaith understanding in Barking:
- Empower Young Minds: Design engaging and inclusive lessons that explore the rich tapestry of religious traditions philosophies and ethical frameworks. Encourage students to develop critical thinking skills and a sense of empathy for diverse viewpoints.
- Master the Curriculum Across Key Stages: Deliver the RE curriculum effectively across all Key Stages (KS3KS5) ensuring students gain a strong foundation in key concepts core philosophies and the historical development of major world religions. Prepare them for success in exams and beyond.
- Nurture Respectful Dialogue: Foster a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable exploring their own beliefs while learning to understand and respect those of others.
- Spark Lifelong Learning: Cultivate a love for lifelong learning about the role of religion philosophy and ethics in society. Motivate students to see the power of faith and understanding in building bridges across cultures and communities.
- Embrace the Journey: Guide students on their personal exploration of faith and values fostering inclusivity and creating a space for open and respectful dialogue.
Are you the compassionate educator Barking School needs
- A strong understanding of religious traditions philosophical concepts and various teaching methodologies is essential.
- A relevant teaching qualification (QTS desirable) and experience teaching
