Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit team. The ideal candidate will provide highquality lifesaving care to critically ill pediatric patients collaborating with physicians respiratory therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role requires strong clinical skills the ability to work in highpressure situations and a commitment to patient safety and education.

Duties
  • Assess monitor and provide care for critically ill pediatric patients.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications manage ventilators and provide other lifesupport measures as needed.
  • Educate patients families on treatment plans procedures and posthospital care.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough patient records using electronic health record systems like Epic or Meditech.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and patient safety standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and workflow efficiency.
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Pediatric ICU or a similar critical care setting.
  • Solid experience in PICU and some CV ICU or cardiac step down or general cardiac experience required.
  • Must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last three years.
  • Must have experience in an Academic Level 1 or 2 Trauma center or similar size hospital.
Requirements
  • Active WI State RN license or compact license.
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) BLS certificates required.
