The ideal candidate will have a robust background in system administration, particularly with Microsoft technologies, and will be instrumental in maintaining and optimizing our IT infrastructure. This role is vital for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our operating systems and email servers.
Key Responsibilities:
The System Engineer will administer and maintain Microsoft operating systems, ensuring they operate at high levels of availability and security. This includes regular monitoring, updates, and patches to safeguard our systems against potential threats. Additionally, the engineer will manage Microsoft Exchange Server, overseeing email services from setup and configuration to maintenance and troubleshooting. This ensures seamless communication across the organization.
Another critical aspect of this role involves overseeing IT management practices, particularly ensuring that backups of the operating system are secured and routinely verified. In the event of system failures, the engineer will perform system recovery procedures by rebuilding the operating system using backup copies, thus minimizing downtime and preserving data integrity.
The engineer will also be responsible for maintaining and managing internet servers. This includes ensuring optimal performance and implementing security measures to protect against vulnerabilities. Collaborating closely with development teams is essential, as the engineer will work with web parts and implement solutions such as single sign-on, libraries, and web applications, enhancing user experience and system integration.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server and Exchange Server, along with a solid grasp of networking concepts.
Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Strong communication skills are essential, as the engineer will need to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking IT team in a vibrant location, where your skills will contribute significantly to the organization's success. If you are passionate about system engineering and eager to make a difference, we encourage you to apply and be part of our journey towards technological excellence.
