Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Functional Safety (FuSa) Expert with extensive experience in IEC 607301 Annex H to join our team for a longterm project in the energy sector. This role requires a professional with deep knowledge of safety standards and best practices to ensure the safety reliability and functionality of critical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development implementation and validation of Functional Safety systems in accordance with IEC 607301 Annex H and other relevant safety standards.
Conduct safety assessments hazard analysis and risk assessments to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams (engineering quality and project management) to design and integrate safety features into products and systems.
Perform safety audits and develop safety plans ensuring adherence to client and regulatory requirements.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members on Functional Safety concepts and processes.
Document safety analyses reviews and validation results and present findings to stakeholders.
Work onsite for the first 2 to 3 weeks in Anderson VA then transition to remote work for the duration of the project.
Requirements:
Experience: 610 years of handson experience in Functional Safety (FuSa) particularly in the energy sector or similar industries.
Expertise in IEC 607301 Annex H is a must.
Strong understanding of safety standards such as ISO 26262 IEC 61508 or similar safety standards.
Experience with safetycritical systems design verification and validation.
Proven ability to lead safetyrelated projects from concept through to completion.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both onsite and remote teams.
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Science or a related field. A Masters degree or additional certifications in Functional Safety is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the energy sector is highly desirable.
Strong problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
Familiarity with tools and methodologies used in functional safety analysis.
