Job Description
Job Title: Network Engineer
Duration: 05 Years
Client: Maryland Judiciary
Location: ANNAPOLIS MD 21401
Note: This is a hybrid position.

Job Description:
- Designing developing analyzing troubleshooting and documenting computer networks and infrastructure.
- Performance monitoring troubleshooting and documentation of a statewide network utilizing industry best practices for security disaster recovery and business continuity
- change control and client support.
- Developing and analyzing network designs and protocols including prototyping and assessment.
- Performing planning engineering forecasting and implementation and identification of resource requirements for network systems.
- Leading and/or assisting in major network projects to support capacity growth upgrades and new products/features and integration.
- Evaluating current network systems and recommending changes in maintenance and systems standards and training support personnel on the conversion implementation and troubleshooting.
- Applying indepth uptodate knowledge of standards guidelines industry trends and similar topics for LAN WAN wireless data centers cloud networking and interconnection.
- Driving improvements in network process efficiency and standardization.
- Ensuring security compliance change control processes and adherence to standards.
- Providing the upper tier of diagnosis isolation and resolution of network problems.
- Identifying and documenting the root cause.
- Proactively identifying potential issues in the production environment and recommending potential solutions
- Developing comprehensive graphical and textbased documentation and effectively managing the implementation process from design to acceptance.
- Hosting weekly status meetings/calls with the team or on an asneeded basis.
- Leading scheduling and overseeing the activities with other team members to resolve enduser hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Assisting in the creation of robust network designs acting as the escalation point of contact and lead engineer for implementations and providing ongoing support and maintenance.
- Oversight of the configuration maintenance and documentation of routers switches wireless controllers load balancers security appliances WAN optimizer and management and security appliances.
Required SKills:
- Layer 2 & 3 optimization and boundary virtual switching systems.
- Scalable routing protocols (BGP EIGRP OSPF).
- Enterprise Data Center and cloud networking for virtualization SDN load balancing and storage.
- Zero Trust Network Access and microsegmentation.
- High Availability in Enterprise.
- Advanced WAN service layers SDWANs and WAN Optimization applications.
- Current Network Security Services applications services and appliances including but not limited to:
- Identity Management.
- Network Access Control.
- Application Layer Inspection.
- Content and malware filtering.
- Data loss and intrusion prevention.
- Zeroday threats.
- IPsec and SSL VPN.
- PKI.
- TwoFactor Authentication.
- Enterprise VoIP and physical security environments access control and video surveillance network applications.
- QualityofService design and implementation.
- Network Management Protocols Applications and Operating System capabilities
- Installation and configuration of Cisco Catalyst Nexus and Palo Alto platforms
- Installation configuration securing and troubleshooting enterprise wireless access systems.
- Work independently troubleshoot and provide mentoring to junior associates.
- Communicate effectively when providing presentations.
- Produce technical documents (diagrams design documents project plans and schedules and user instructions) as required.
- Infrastructure Services and IPAM products.
- IP multicast enterprise video conferencing streaming and ondemand components.
- Coding languages for scripting.
- Major server desktop operating systems and utilities.
