Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Kitchen Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of various cooking techniques and a commitment to delivering exceptional food quality to our guests. The Kitchen Cook will assist in meal preparation cooking and presentation while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Memphis Area
3 pm 11 pm with some overtime
$15.00/hr
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to hotel recipes and standards.
- Assist in menu planning and recipe development incorporating seasonal ingredients and local flavors.
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented to the highest quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen including proper food storage and sanitation practices.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to maintain smooth kitchen operations.
- Follow food safety regulations and hotel policies to ensure guest safety and satisfaction.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.
- Assist in managing kitchen staff during peak service times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree preferred.
- Previous experience as a cook in a hotel restaurant or similar setting.
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and a passion for culinary excellence.
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays.
