As a Senior Systems Engineering Advisor you will:
- Lead the Systems Engineering (SE) approach at the program level translating RWS standards and guidelines into actionable plans for various projects.
- Act as a technical advisor on system development overseeing the quality of SE processes and products.
- Collaborate with different project teams to define Systems of Interest project scopes and clear project objectives.
- Provide strategic advice on procurement validation and verification of system specifications ensuring they meet client requirements.
- Guide and evaluate assessments such as Gate Reviews aligning the project with national frameworks.
- Advise on information and requirements management systems encouraging active use and ensuring the project team is welltrained.
- Manage the overall system design ensuring it aligns with client priorities and remains consistent throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee the iterative process of analysis design verification and validation ensuring quality across all project phases.
- Conduct risk analyses to define the solution space and ensure clear communication of chosen solutions.
- Review and manage project documentation especially regarding technical interfaces and the Request for Proposal.
What You Bring to the Table:
- A completed higher education degree (HBO) in a technical field such as civil engineering mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of experience in a project environment with 5 years of proven expertise in implementing and promoting SE methodologies.
- Demonstrable knowledge and 3 years of experience in drafting and managing requirements and specifications as well as aligning these with contracts.
- Expertise in Relatics with at least 3 years of handson experience.
- Strong understanding of renovation and renewal projects particularly in complex infrastructure like movable bridges.
- Knowledge of SE processes methods and techniques including Value Engineering and FMECA.
