Job Description
Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Shop Laborer to join our team. In this role you will be primarily responsible for cutting steel and maintaining a clean shop environment. Additionally you will be crosstrained to serve as a backup painter and assist with shipping/receiving tasks. This position offers room for advancement for those who demonstrate proficiency in their responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily tasks such as cutting steel and general shop cleaning
- Train as a backup painter for industrial bins
- Assist with shipping and receiving duties
- Deburr metal edges and perform metal fabrication tasks
- Conduct quality inspections of final products
- Read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical drawings
- Operate and maintain various tools and equipment including welding machines grinders and cutting torches
- Ensure accuracy and precision in measurements and assembly
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and quality standards
