Roles and responsibilities

JASARA PMC is on the lookout for a highly skilled PE Mechanical and Ventilation Engineer to enhance our team. This critical role involves designing and implementing advanced mechanical and ventilation systems for our diverse infrastructure projects. As a vital contributor, you will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that our ventilation solutions are not only efficient but also compliant with all relevant regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

As a PE Mechanical and Ventilation Engineer, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that include:

  • Design and Development: You will design, analyze, and develop mechanical and ventilation systems tailored to the specific needs of various projects. This involves employing innovative engineering principles to create effective and efficient systems.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring that all designs meet industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations is paramount. You will stay updated on the latest regulations and ensure compliance throughout the design process.

  • Airflow Calculations and Thermal Load Analyses: Conducting detailed airflow calculations and thermal load analyses will be crucial to optimizing system performance. Your expertise will help in determining the most effective configurations for different environments.

  • Collaboration with Architects and Engineers: You will work closely with architects and other engineers to seamlessly integrate ventilation solutions into building designs. This collaboration will ensure that the systems not only perform well but also align with the overall architectural vision.

  • Technical Documentation: Preparing comprehensive technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports, will be a key part of your role. Your documentation will serve as a guide for installation and maintenance.

  • Installation and Commissioning Oversight: You will oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical and ventilation systems. This hands-on involvement will ensure that all systems are installed correctly and function as intended.

  • Performance Monitoring and Recommendations: After installation, monitoring system performance will be essential. You will provide recommendations for improvements and efficiency optimizations, contributing to the long-term sustainability of our projects.


Desired candidate profile

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, particularly focusing on ventilation systems.
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred, underscoring your commitment to professional excellence.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC design software is essential for creating effective designs.
  • A strong understanding of ventilation design principles, building codes, and safety regulations is critical.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, along with project management capabilities, will be necessary to navigate complex engineering challenges.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities are essential for successful collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
